What Our Guests Say

This place is lovely and was excellent for us to stay at with an infant. Very mininal street noise, extremely clean, and great space overall. Would definitely stay again!

This was a great place to stay in Frankfort. We walked to so many great restaurants and bars. We had an issue with our room when we first arrived, but the staff was so fast to respond and they completely fixed the situation. If we ever find ourselves in Frankfort again, we would stay here.

We were staying there while working in the area so not at the home during the day. Was not perfect but much better than driving into Sedro-Woolley for hotel lodging. Just off the main drag and close to town but very private setting. House is very minimalist but clean and bright. Kitchen is well stocked for making meals, however, the fan above the stove did not work. Only one tv in the house in the main bedroom upstairs. The bedding was very nice and comfortable. Was a fine place to rest our heads after long days at work.

This DADU is light and easy and clean, in a nice neighborhood, with plenty of beautiful streets to walk in the neighborhood. This was my second time here (I visit family in Seattle frequently) and I will always book this place if available!

The place was very nice. In the description they said 3 bedroom 3 bath. But it was 2 bedroom, 3 bath and a study or office. It was misleading to us. For that the price I paid was too high. All else was excellent. Thank you.

— Sulochana Konur
Positive: It was modern- fun. The fixtures and the shower and the kitchen were exceptional. The bed was super comfortable. It was nice to have a stocked linen closet and a washer and dryer. Negative: It needed a bedside table and lamp on both sides of the bed and maybe a few more pictures.

The house was a little scary coming to at night, but in the morning was absolutely gorgeous. fantastic views and an awesome little breakfast place just down the street. The only issue we had was the feeling of no privacy without curtains or shades on the bedroom windows, but the place is relatively secluded so there weren’t any issues with peeping toms. Overall an absolutely wonderful experience!

the place was great for our visit. one discrepancy in the amenities was that “free parking garage on premise” was included, which lead me to believe that I could park my car (PHEV) inside to charge. This was however not the case and actually not available for guests to use. it’s a miscommunication at most and was quickly clarified by the host. the place was great otherwise. I would highly recommend for people who wants to walk to Seattle center as it is super close.

Positive: Great location. Private, quiet. Negative: There is a leak downstairs just in front of the master bath that wasn’t disclosed. Woke up to a wet floor in the morning.

First, we really enjoyed our stay at the St Clair and we would definitely stay there again. I will mention a couple of relatively minor detractors, for those who may want to know. The first thing is the noisy train, which comes down the tracks about a block away, sometimes in the middle of the night. If you absolutely must have a peaceful, uninterrupted sleep, this is something to keep in mind. Second, there is very little place to hang or put your clothes away in the room. We mostly lived out of our suitcases while we stayed there. If these seem like a couple of major concerns, now let me tell you why they didn’t bother me a lot. To us, this place was really great and we loved the industrial style of the room. There were so many bourbon distilleries within just 30 minutes. And the Buffalo Trace distillery is about 5 minutes away. The speakeasy next door is super cool and the bartenders at the Howser are so friendly. We hope to come back one day and would definitely stay here again.

Overall, this was a great place to stay. I have some of my own carpet cleansing issues, which is why I feel the carpet could use a cleaning. Other than that, my son and I had a great time here. They have a great game room in the basement with a ping-pong table, a couple air hockey tables and a foosball table. As well as an Xbox with a bunch of games. I would imagine that this place gets rented out quite a bit when you are doing skiing or snowboarding on Crystal Mountain.

My husband and I took a trip to the Bourbon Trail and wanted a boutique stay experience. We lucked out with how central the St. Clair was to all the locations we visited during our stay. The hotel is beautifully renovated and secure, and had an excellent vibe throughout. We loved our room’s location, overlooking the main downtown street, which was close to a few cool bars and the local chamber of commerce/visitor center, as well as both capitol buildings. Our hosts were incredibly responsive, very quickly in all circumstances, and the housekeeping staff was responsive too, quick to bring us additional towels and a bathmat. I’m always asking questions so having them quick to respond was a huge win. The bed was super comfy, as were the couch and chair. The elevator and stairs were great as was the secret speakeasy downstairs! VERY COOL TOUCH!! We have already shown our pics to our friends and would definitely stay again if we venture back down! GREAT experience!!

This place was a perfect pit stop during travels. The shared spaces were well taken care of and equipped with a coffee bar, pots and pans, utensils etc, all kitchen essentials. There are multiple bathrooms on each floor which are single use, so you can lock the door behind you! The place was clean and appeared as advertised, when I requested towels they were promptly delivered in the morning.

The room was definitely bigger than I imagined. I didn’t realize the bedroom would be upstairs. Very nice overall. Our only issue was the cleanliness. The floors appeared clean but we took our shoes off upon entering and we noticed shortly after that our socks and feet were completely black.

The St Clair is easy to access and nice because it is a studio and the perfect size for us. The room is very nice and reasonably priced. Lots of great restaurants and bars in walking distance. We have stayed here twice and love this place.

Positive: The outside of the building is beautiful! As soon as we walked into our studio room, we were amazed with how much space we had. Great charm with the exposed brick. Nice kitchen and a cute table for two. Nice spacious bathroom and a very comfortable couch and bed. All the comforts of home while on vacation! Secure building. Excellent location in town and walkable to restaurants and shops. The staff member that was onsite was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and will come back to The St. Clair. Negative: Our stay was great. What questions we had when we first arrived were quickly answered by the on-site staff member.

Very impressed with our stay! Frankfurt is a charming , quaint city and we had a wonderful time! Very picturesque. The Airbnb was very clean and quiet. We Loved exposed brick and how they kept it as original as possible. The bed was extremely comfortable. We slept like babies. Even thou we weren’t there much during our 4 day stay we were very pleased with the accommodations. Make sure you go to the Howser below and to the speakeasy which has a moody, intimate vibe. Patsy makes the best drinks and puts a lot of love in her art! Daniel Boones gravesite was interesting and the view which overlooks the city is beautiful. Very nice to be so close to Buffalo Trace (my husband’s favorite) . Also, Capital Cellars is a good spot to grab your spirits to start your night! We had a great experience with this adorable little town and hope to come back one day soon! We hear the fall is gorgeous

My two kids and I had a wonderful stay at this home. The neighborhood is quiet and warm and close to a bus stop that whisks you downtown in no time. The house itself is clean and well-organized, with space to relax after a day’s adventures and a kitchen and dining room that made it easy to prepare meals for my kids. The host was kind and responsive and all instructions were clear. I highly recommend this home for a Seattle visit!

Enjoy the old architecture and the effort to maintain the buildings. The parking deck across the street was very convenient. The security was good. Being on the 4th floor (great location) and having a modern elevator was great! It is a very old building and the character was maintained. The brick walls, the original flooring were complemented by a modern kitchen, modern bathroom. This section of Frankfort is a great location to set off for exploring the Bourbon Trail. Buffalo Trace (our favorite) is less than a 5 minute drive. Restaurants are all within walking. No parking problem because our car was in the parking deck. People are very friendly, conversations abound. We will be back.

This is a newly constructed dado in a walkable neighborhood with plenty of street parking. The linens and towels were all clean and soft, and we especially appreciated the sauna followed by a cold shower. It was also great to have laundry. And while we didn’t cook, it appears the place had all that we would have needed. Also, the neighbors are very friendly. The host was super quick to respond to any questions we had which was great.

The home was as described. The pictures were very accurate. The home was clean and a great space for what we needed. We were a little disappointed to learn the home did not have an A/C unit. The listing does not list A/C as an amenity, so it was an oversight on my part. Just coming from Louisiana, A/C is necessary and not considered an amenity. I will be sure to ask questions next time. Sleeping with the windows open made it bearable as the temperatures dropped into the 60’s at night, but being a light sleeper, that wasn’t ideal. The neighborhood is quiet and would definitely book again during cooler temperatures.

Positive: Location was beautiful and quiet. Lots of room. Comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen. Fun things to do, like ping-pong and a fire pit. Would definitely recommend and return. Negative: Suggestions: The ground floor was uncomfortably cold while the upstairs was normal. Seems like the AC wasn’t calibrated correctly. Description of property should include more specifics on where exactly the bathrooms are located and which rooms share a bathroom. When I booked, it sounded like each bedroom had a bathroom. And the kitchen bathroom needs a fan!! Squeaky bedroom doors need oil. Double double room downstairs needs a large bedside table between them. Late afternoon sun glare in living room-needs shades.

In town for an event. Just an overnight stay, but well worth it. The St Clair was perfect. Absolute privacy and quiet but close enough to downtown Frankfort. Put the car keys on the counter and walked everywhere. Dining, drinks, entertainment, history, nature – all within walking distance. The space is more than a hotel but less than a house. Perfect for overnight or longer stays. Well equipped. We skipped the parking garage and used street parking. There is plenty of space, especially on the weekend.

One of the nicest and most charming places we have stayed. The location in Ballard is great, and parking was very easy. It’s walking distance to Sunset Hill Park and the top of Golden Gardens, and an easy drive to all of the rest of the attractions and restaurants in the area. The unit itself was excellent and exactly as described. Everything is very well maintained. The office room was convenient for getting a bit of work done with reliable WiFi, and the sauna was a really nice bonus. Thanks, and I would definitely stay here again!

Overall we enjoyed our stay at St Clair. We stayed Saturday-Monday and left on Tuesday morning. The space was modern and comfortable. The Street Noise on Saturday evening made it difficult to sleep after a long day of driving but the space had a little sleep machine which helped and the noise didn’t last too late. There weren’t many businesses open for shopping in the downtown area the days we were there but we had planned to tour a couple of distilleries and made a trip to Louisville and went through Churchill Downs during our stay and it was nice to have a home base to relax in the evenings. The only negative was when we were ready to check out and I stripped the bed linens for cleaning and the mattress cover had stains on it. I wanted to believe it had been cleaned and the stains just didn’t come out prior to our stay but even so there should have been a new one put on the mattress. I reported it and was told they would contact the cleaning staff. Overall a good stay.

Ryan is a very kind and professional host. He kindly accepted my last-minute booking, for which I am truly grateful. The room is equipped with all the basic essentials for daily living. The only things I wished for were a hairdryer and some hangers. I also greatly appreciated being provided with a bath towel. The shared kitchen, bathroom/shower, and toilet were very clean, never crowded, and comfortable to use. The two laundry machines were a bit confusing at first due to inconsistent pricing and a coin changer that didn’t work, but with a Bank of America nearby, exchanging coins wasn’t a problem. They were also never busy, so I could use them comfortably. I had an issue with many small flies in the room, and moths would get in through the vent, even when it was closed. Overall, this is a very commendable place to stay. I would gladly stay here again whenever I have plans in Eugene. Thank you for this time.

Overall, a good experience. The location is good, and the price was right. While I stayed there, things were very peaceful and all the other guests were respectful of quiet hours. Please be aware that all the parking in street parking and if you’re there before 6pm or after 7am, you’ll either have to feed the meter or find a 2-hour parking zone and watch the clock. The only downside was housekeeping: I was there for over a week and the garbage in the kitchen was only thrown away once – it started getting a bit stinky after a few days. And on the second day I was there, someone threw… something… away in one of the showers. It was still there a week later, along with a note some other guest left asking people to be more respectful of common areas. These were not unbearable problems though. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. I’ll be back again the next time I need temporary lodging in Eugene!

I would like to thank Recreation Stays for creating such a cozy environment. I vacationed with my girlfriend and we really enjoyed it. I would also like to note that the house itself is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. I would also like to mention, if anyone is interested: There is a Ukrainian grocery store with a good restaurant 2 miles from the house. We went there and everything was delicious. The house is spacious and perfect for a couple’s getaway!

What an incredible place to stay. It is a very private and peaceful home, with a view to die for. On a sunny day you can clearly see the Cascade mountains, and the views are stunning. A great couples get away if you you want peace and quiet with no distractions. The Island is full of quaint small towns and interesting place to visit. You can get to Seattle, or Olympic National Park in just a few hours (with ferry rides). An unforgettable experience, and we would love to come back someday!

We loved the Fauntleroy neighborhood–small, friendly small-town feel but close enough to Seattle for all their various fun things to do. “Our” house was very comfortable and well-appointed. The five of us had plenty of space and my 17-year-old was thrilled to have the entire basement accommodations to himself. We’ll be back to enjoy your beautiful area.

Nice place. Kitchen was nice, had a grill outside. No tv downstairs. Took a bit for the house to cool down in the evening in August. Slightly overgrown willow tree branches at entrance of the property, reminded me of a bead curtain. Semi private with wildlife. Overall, we liked it.

There were a few glitches at the start of our stay, like the outdoor cushions still missing and one of the ovens not working, but these things were taken care of and after that everything went smoothly. The management communicated quite well, we just had to be clear about what needed doing. The location is simply breathtaking, the view is stunning and expansive . The beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. One warning – there are deer EVERYWHERE, and they are very lackadaisical about humans. It was fawn season and there were does and fawns all over the place. Charming, but when driving one must be hyper alert. I loved seeing the fawns every day. There was also a semi-resident bald eagle in the neighborhood. We’ll be going back for sure.

This was our third trip to Philadelphia and the third time really was the charm—we found One Sky Loft! This is a brand new “boutique hotel” with great service by the host/management. Bright, uncluttered, devoid of dust, and plenty of room for all three of us to spread out. The second bed is a sectional that you rearrange into a bed, but it’s more comfortable than the usual pull-out mattress. I don’t usually do travel laundry but the full size washer and dryer came in handy. The location (corner of Jeweler’s Row) is somehow both quiet and right in the middle of everything, less than a 20 minute walk to all the neighborhoods we visited, plus 3 coffee/breakfast options right outside your doorstep (Le Pain Quotidien, Starbucks, Knead Bagels). We appreciated the elevator to the 4th floor after long days of sightseeing during a heat wave! There’s a parking garage (Walnut Tower) conveniently across the corner (pricey but it’s the same everywhere). 10/10 would stay here again!

We stayed here for one night and will be back for sure. We come to the trail every year or two and this is our first time staying here. This was great. For just two people there is more than enough room. Super easy check in. Close to several restaurants and lots of great bourbon spots. Also close to a great bookstore and a local artist store where they have so many different things. We will be back for sure and there are even some secret surprises at this location that will please any bourbon lover. Great hosts and great location. 10/10
